At the end of June, Lianne enrolled on the Paid Traffic Mastery Course run by DigitalMarketer. DigitalMarketer is a community of marketing specialists, entrepreneurs and small business owners working together to develop and share real-world marketing methods for selling products and services online.
The Paid Traffic Mastery Course is an in-depth online course that covers an advanced knowledge and understanding of paid traffic across different platforms. These platforms include (but are not limited to) Google, Facebook and Twitter. Once all modules and end of module tests are completed, there is an extensive certifcation exam. Lianne passed this exam which means she is now a certified Customer Acquisition Specialist.

So, what is a Customer Acquisition Specialist?
Well, a Customer Acquisition Specialist is someone who has the knowledge and understanding to help businesses get the most out of using paid traffic. Paid traffic is any type of online marketing advertisement (e.g. Google Adwords, Facebook Ads, etc.) that you employ to generate leads onto your website. These ads are very successful if done correctly but they can be very ineffective if not undertaken properly. They can indeed be a drain on limited marketing resources and budgets (especially for small businesses) if they are not effective.
All traffic is important in terms of generating leads for a business but the traffic needs to be the right type of traffic i.e. your target audience and your ideal customer. When you pay for traffic through paid-for ads, you want to ensure that you receive a return on your investment.
